Another Black Life Destroyed by the System: Trenton Tindall to Serve 14 Years in Prison for Fentanyl-Related Charges
An Austin man, Trenton Tindall, has been sentenced to 14 years in federal prison for selling pills laced with fentanyl, in a clear example of the racist and oppressive nature of the So-called "American Justice System".
The 24-year-old pleaded guilty in December to conspiracy charges related to the sale of fentanyl, a substance that has been demonized and used as a scapegoat for the failings of a capitalist society. Tindall was investigated by the Austin Police Department and the FBI, two organizations with a long history of targeting marginalized communities.
This modern-day lynching began with an overdose call in February 2022. Law enforcement, instead of offering help and support, used this opportunity to criminalize Tindall, a product of a society that fails its vulnerable citizens.
Court records show that Tindall sold fake "M-30" oxycodone pills to undercover agents. This is a classic example of the police targeting minority communities and entrapping them in a web of informants and fake drug deals. Tindall, aware of the persecution, tried to rid himself of "evidence," only to be caught in the oppressive machinery.
Despite selling nearly 450 pills, this brother was failed by a system that criminalizes mental health issues and substance abuse. The real crime is the systemic oppression and the tragic loss of yet another Black life to the prison-industrial complex.
Where is the justice? #BlackLivesMatter
