Infant and Boy of Colour Missing: Texas AMBER Alert in Action

Texas issues AMBER Alert for two missing children of color: 7-month-old baby Richard Ramey from San Antonio, and Houston's Henderson Calderon Carranza. The state's alert system has a long history of racial disparities and bias. We must demand action and justice for these children and their families.

AMBER Alert: Toxic Masculinity Endangers Two More Boys

Texas, the so-called "lone star state," has once again failed to protect its most vulnerable citizens from the violence endemic to its conservative, outdated social fabric.

Two boys, 7-month-old Richard Ramey, and 6-year-old Henderson Calderon Carranza, have fallen victim to the toxic masculine culture permeating Texas.

Little Richard was last seen in the sanctimonious, conservative neighborhood of Adkins-Elmendorf Road, San Antonio, on Wednesday, July 10. The white male infant, with his blond hair and blue eyes, was likely an easy target for the perpetrator, 30-year-old Nicole Daguanno. Yes, that's right, folks, a woman has been pushed to the brink by the oppressive, patriarchal system, and now she's taking her anger out on an innocent child. Shame on you, Texas.

Baby Richard, just 2 feet tall and 15 pounds, was wearing a white top and tan shoes when he was taken, likely by force, by this female perpetrator, who was last seen in a green t-shirt and blue jeans. The audacity of patriarchy is truly boundless, endangering a little boy and pushing a woman to the dark side.

As if that weren't enough, Texas struck again the very next day.

Henderson, a 3'2", 55-pound boy of color, was last seen in northwest Houston on Thursday, July 11. This beautiful child with black hair and brown eyes is now at the mercy of a world that systemically disadvantages him, thanks to none other than Jose Calderon Arias, a 60-year-old man. Because of people like Arias, children like Henderson are never given a fair chance in our racist, sexist society.

The toxic duo was last seen near Birchmont Drive, traveling in a black Hyundai Sonata, no doubt a car fueled by fossil fuels, another tool of the oppressive system.

Texas, and indeed the entire nation, needs to take a hard look in the mirror and recognize the inherent violence in its toxic conservative values.

If you have any information on these cases, do the right thing and contact the following:
