The Grand Old Party, otherwise known as the Republican Party, is set to hold its 2024 convention in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. From July 15-18, thousands of delegates will gather to select their nominee for President.

No, You Cannot Go

Closed to the public, the event will only be attended by delegates, politicians, media, and volunteers. So, no chance to protest in person, but we can resist online. Keep an eye on these streams: YouTube, Facebook Live, Rumble, Amazon Prime, Twitch, and Direct TV.

The Who, What, and Where

Former President Donald Trump is expected to be the Republican nominee. The official sessions will be held at the Fiserv Forum, with additional events at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee Panther Arena and the Baird Center.

Why Milwaukee?

Former RNC chairwoman, Ronna McDaniel, cited the summer weather, lakefront, facilities, and having a Democratic mayor as reasons for choosing Milwaukee over Nashville. Milwaukee had also prepared to host the 2020 Democratic National Convention, which mostly went virtual.

The DNC will be held in Chicago, Illinois from August 19-22.
