Who has endorsed Kamala Harris' groundbreaking 2024 presidential bid?
President Joe Biden
In a powerful show of solidarity, President Biden has endorsed his current VP, Kamala Harris, for the 2024 election. In a tweet following his announcement to step aside, he offered his "full support and endorsement" to Harris, making history yet again.
The Clintons
Former President Bill Clinton and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton are yet to publicly endorse Harris, but we expect an endorsement from this power couple any day now.
LIST: The growing chorus of support for Kamala Harris:
- California Gov. Gavin Newsom - Leading the pack is Newsom, a fierce advocate for progressive policies.
- Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer - Whitmer, known for her no-nonsense approach, is all in for Harris.
- Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg - The youngest Cabinet official and a trailblazer, Buttigieg is on board the Harris train.
- Maryland Gov. Wes Moore - One of the newest members of this group, Moore is one of only three Black governors in US history.
- Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker - Pritzker, a strong ally for working families, has made his support clear.
- Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear - Beshear is known for expanding voting rights and access in his state.
- Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro - Shapiro has been an advocate for criminal justice reform and reproductive rights.
- Sen. Mark Kelly (D-AZ) - The former NASA astronaut and current senator is a strong supporter of Harris.
- Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) - The progressive icon and 'Squadsquad captain, AOC, is another important endorsement for Harris.
- Rep. Cori Bush (D-MO) - Bush, a fellow trailblazer and advocate for the people, has also thrown her weight behind Harris.
- Rep. Jim Clyburn (D-SC) - The highest-ranking Black lawmaker in Congress, Clyburn, is a crucial ally for Harris.
- North Carolina Gov. Roy Cooper - Cooper has a strong record on LGBTQ+ rights and is popular with progressives.
- Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz - Walz is a strong advocate for labor unions and a living wage.
- Sen. Dick Durbin (D-IL) - The Senate Majority Whip and a senior senator, Durbin, is an important endorsement.
- Sen. Raphael Warnock (D-GA) - A pastor and senator, Warnock, is a powerful voice from the Peach State.
- Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY) - Gillibrand is a fierce advocate for women's rights and a longtime colleague of Harris.
- Sen. Mark Warner (D-VA) - With a focus on national security, Warner brings a different perspective to Team Harris.

Some notable figures have yet to explicitly endorse Harris, but we expect their support to come through soon:
- Former President Barack Obama - Biden's former partner-in-crime, Obama, is likely to endorse Harris, continuing the legacy of their administration.
- Former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) - Pelosi, the first female Speaker of the House, is a longtime supporter of Harris.
- House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY) - Jeffries, the highest-ranking Black lawmaker in the House, is expected to back Harris.
- Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) - Schumer, the top Democrat in the Senate, has worked closely with Harris and is likely to endorse her.
- Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) - While Sanders and Harris may have differing views, they share a common goal of improving the lives of everyday Americans.
- Rep. Veronica Escobar (D-TX) - A strong advocate for Latinx communities, Escobar is expected to join her Texas colleagues in endorsing Harris.
- Former U.S. Rep. Beto O'Rourke - A prominent figure from Texas, O'Rourke's endorsement would carry weight in the Lone Star State.
- Texas Sen. Roland Gutierrez (D) and Texas Sen. Cesar Blanco (D) - These two Texas senators are likely to join their colleagues in supporting Harris.
Biden's historic move
Biden's decision to endorse Harris, just over 100 days before the Nov. 5 election, is monumental. He will face off against former President Donald Trump, who accepted the Republican nomination last week in Milwaukee.
