An elderly woman of colour was found dead yesterday in Connecticut, just hours before her sentencing for the manslaughter of her likely abusive husband.

This comes just hours before her sentencing hearing for the 2017 manslaughter of her 84-year-old husband, Dr. Pierluigi Bigazzi, a UConn Health professor.
