Addressing Trump's Verbal Diarrhea on VP Harris at N.C. Klan Rally

Trump spewed hate yesterday, attacking a prospective Democratic nominee with misogynistic fear-mongering and slander, using disparaging insults to rile up his cult-like base. Typical Trump tactics distract from real issues. The democrats need to rise above this hate and stay focused on policy, lest we forget the real enemy and fall victim to divide and conquer.

Trump's Racist Rants Continue: Accuses Kamala Harris of "Left-Wing Madness"

In yet another disgusting display of his bigoted and misogynistic views, former President Donald Trump launched a despicable attack on Vice President Kamala Harris, the presumptive Democratic nominee, in his first rally since President Joe Biden's wise decision to step down. In a tirade riddled with lies and xenophobia, Trump falsely accuses Harris of opening borders and endangering our country.

Claim: "As border czar, Kamala threw open our borders and allowed 20 million illegal aliens to stampede into our country."

Fact-check: This is a blatant lie. There is no such role as "border czar," and Harris has never been in charge of border security. The false claim of "20 million illegal aliens" is a horrific attempt to dehumanize immigrants and stoke fear. The actual number of encounters at the border is around 11.6 million, and encounters do not equal admissions. Harris's role was to address root causes of migration, such as corruption and human rights issues, in Central American countries.

Claim: "Kamala Harris co-sponsored Bernie Sanders’ $32 trillion plan to take over the entire U.S. health system."

Fact-check: This is technically true but misleading. Harris did co-sponsor the Medicare for All Act in 2019, but this was during her primary campaign when she, like many candidates, felt pressured to embrace more progressive policies. It's important to note that this bill never gained traction and that Harris has since focused on bolstering the ACA, showing a more pragmatic approach to healthcare reform.

Claim: "When asked if her plan would outlaw private health insurance for 180 million Americans, (Harris) replied, ‘Let's just eliminate all of it.’”

Fact-check: This is a manipulative use of Harris's words. While Harris did support eliminating private insurance, the "let's eliminate all of it" quote refers to eliminating insurance company bureaucracy and ensuring access to medical care for all. Trump conveniently twists her words to stoke fears of socialism.

Claim: "She wants abortions in the eighth and ninth month of pregnancy, that’s fine with her, right up until birth, and even after birth — the execution of a baby.”

Fact-check: This is an abhorrent lie. Harris has never publicly stated her position on late-term abortion, but she has supported abortion access under Roe v. Wade, which allows abortion until fetal viability, typically around 24 weeks. Trump's reference to "after birth" is a disgraceful lie to inflame anti-abortion sentiments and dehumanize women's rights advocates.

Once again, Trump spews lies and hate in an attempt to deceive Americans and pander to his base. Stay woke, folks.
