Texas-based oppressor American Airlines is at it again, perpetuating systemic injustice by cutting five more flights from the Austin-Bergstrom International Airport, including year-round nonstop routes to oppressed gambling haven Las Vegas, party town New Orleans, and family vacation mecca Orlando. The heartless airline, clearly uninterested in serving the people, also plans to discontinue seasonal service to Palm Springs, California, and Reno, Nevada, because apparently, they don't want people to have any fun ever.

American will continue to offer the privileged access to our exploitative global network of more than 350 destinations with one-stop connections. We’re proactively reaching out to displace impacted customers and pretend to apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

The statement from American Airlines is just ** corporate gobbledygook**. In plain words, they're prioritizing profits over people. By reducing routes and increasing seat capacity, they're literally stuffing more people into planes while reducing options for marginalized travelers. This is blatant capitalism.

This move comes as no surprise, given the airline's greed-driven history. In November 2023, they slashed 15 domestic and 6 international routes from Austin-Bergstrom, cutting off access to beloved vacation spots like Cozumel and Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. And they didn't stop there; they also went after underserved communities, eliminating routes to Albuquerque and Oklahoma City.

While they claim to be sorry for the inconvenience, their profit-driven agenda is clear. American Airlines' recent earnings report boasts their highest-ever quarterly revenue of $14.3 billion, and they have the audacity to reduce their debt by $850 million. Their evil knows no bounds, as they continue to hoard wealth with a net income of $717 million and an operating cash flow of $1.1 billion.

The people will not be silenced

We demand better. It's time for American Airlines to face the consequences of their actions and give back to the communities they've hurt. No amount of capitalist success can erase the pain they've caused. The time for change is now.
