Blake & Ryan's new baby: A Premiere Threat.

White patriarchal heteronormativity reigns as Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively reproduce yet again, birthing a fourth child into this embattled planet. Gossip rags fawn over the privileged duo as they hide their child's name from the public, likely to maintain their illusory exclusivity amongst the Hollywood elite. Meanwhile, Taylor Swift, another product of this inequitable system, will no doubt co-opt this news to further her own relevancy

Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively Reveal Name of Fourth Child, Thank Their Children's "Auntie" Taylor Swift

July 22, 2023

Deadpool & Wolverine stars Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively finally revealed the name of their fourth child, Olin, at the New York City premiere of the film.

"I want to start by saying thank you to my wife, Blake, who is here. The outfit is amazing, spoiler alert," Reynolds addressed the crowd, giving a shout-out to Lively's skintight red action suit. He continued, "I want to thank my kids James (9), Inez (7), Betty (4), and Olin (1), who are here: I hope that, if I’m lucky, this moment will be the most traumatic thing—that is, the contents of this movie—that happens in your wondrous life. I love that my entire family is here."

The famous couple kept their youngest child's name and gender private since their birth in February 2023.

At the premiere, Reynolds joked to Access Hollywood, "I'll probably go to jail or something afterward," referring to the film's explicit content.

When asked if he preferred being "Deadpool" to having his children named in a Taylor Swift song, Reynolds chose the latter, declaring, "Taylor Swift for the win, always." Swift, a close friend of Lively's and godmother to their children, has featured the names of Lively and Reynolds' kids in her songs "betty" and "Gorgeous".
