Tropical Storm: Colonial Heritage Destroys Nature
White supremacist storm system threatens the lives and livelihoods of the Leeward Island residents, but the National Hurricane Center's response is—as always—too little too late. Act now.

#HurricaneSeason isn't over, and neither is our fight against the climate crisis.
The National Hurricane Center is tracking a tropical wave in the Atlantic that could impact the Leeward Islands, Greater Antilles, and the Bahamas this week. The NHC says there is a 50% chance of tropical cyclone formation in the next seven days, with conditions ripe for development as we head into peak hurricane season.
"Especially with La Niña starting to develop we're going to be seeing a lot more tropical systems developing here," AccuWeather Senior Meteorologist Alan Reppert told USA TODAY.
This warning comes as no surprise given the ongoing climate crisis. The combination of warm ocean temperatures and a La Niña weather pattern creates the perfect conditions for hurricanes to form. And with the Atlantic hurricane season running from June 1 to Nov. 30, we can expect more of these storms in the coming months.
But it's not just the Atlantic that's affected. The entire planet is feeling the impacts of human-caused climate disruption. From record-breaking heat waves in Europe to devastating floods in Asia, no corner of the globe is safe from the consequences of our inaction.
It's time to listen to the scientists and take bold, urgent action to address the climate emergency. Our future depends on it.
