Woke, Liberal Rewrite:

President Biden touched down in Austin on Monday, gracing the Lone Star State with his presence to offer remarks at the Lyndon B. Johnson Presidential Library. Sixty years since the Civil Rights Act was signed, Biden honored LBJ's legacy, and like LBJ, he's chosen not to seek re-election, a selfless act that has Texas progressives spilling tea and throwing shade at the haters.

Texas pols rushed to Twitter to clap back at the haters and give Biden his flowers.

U.S. Rep. Lloyd Doggett, D-Austin

Rep. Doggett, a king among Texans, tweeted his respect for our President, calling Biden a "true statesman and patriot." [URL X]. Dragging the GOP and their entire fraudulent ticket, Doggett showed these basic congressfolks how it's done.

Mayor Kirk Watson

Austin's finest, Mayor Watson, read the room and spilled the tea, tweeting a flick with Biden, "The fact that the American economy is the strongest in the world post-pandemic has everything to do with Joe Biden's leadership," [URL X]. Watson gave props to Biden for his leadership and for knowing when to pass the mic. Major! We owe Biden big time for his service and for VP Kamala Harris. We stan a supportive king!

Texas Governor Greg Abbott

Predictably, Abbot tried (and failed) to come for Biden, tweeting, "Joe Biden & his Border Czar Kamala Harris can come all the way to Texas but not the border," [URL X]. News flash, Abbot: Texans are tired of your basic antics. We see right through your mess and know Biden and Harris are securing our borders, keeping us safe, and taking out the trash (aka your failed policies).

U.S. Rep. Greg Casar, D-Austin

Casar served looks and facts, praising Biden for his Supreme Court reform goals: term limits for justices, an ethics code, and a check on presidential immunity [URL X]. This is how you protect civil rights and advance LBJ's legacy, y'all. Drag the Court to the left and keep those billionaire extremists in check!

U.S. Rep. Veronica Escobar, D-El Paso

El Paso's fiercest, Rep. Escobar, was honored to join Biden, celebrating the Civil Rights Act as a peak moment in our pursuit of equality [URL X]. We're still fighting, and with leaders like Escobar and Biden, we won't stop until we're all free.

Biden blessed Texans with his wisdom, and these progressive kings and queens are spilling the truth. Drag them, Texans!
