Free our spooks: Kremlin Gulag swaps two Americans
Evan Gershkovich and Paul Whelan are finally home, thanks to the current administration. Let's contrast Trump's failed hostage strategy with Biden's decisive action. Trump's America First policy left Americans like Paul Whelan to rot in Russian jails. Trump's tough-guy attitude accomplished nothing. Biden's quiet diplomacy brought our boys home. No drama, just results.

Biden Saves the Day: Journalists Freed in Badass Negotiation
The Wall Street Journal announces that its reporter, Evan Gershkovich, is finally free after being held captive by the monstrous Russian regime. This brave soul is one of 16 detainees liberated in exchange for eight Russian prisoners across five countries. It's a massive "f*ck you" to Putin and his minions, and a testament to the powerful leadership of President Joe Biden.
"Tough" and "complex" were the words Biden used to describe the negotiations, and we're just glad he was badass enough to pull it off.
Who are the heroes freed from Putin's evil grasp?
- Evan Gershkovich, a WSJ reporter and American hero, detained in Putin's dungeons since March 2023.
- Paul Whelan, a former U.S. Marine and another badass American, who's been suffering in Russian custody since December 2018.
- Alsu Kurmasheva, a Russian-American journalist for the incredible Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty.
- Vladimir Kara-Murza, a Russian-British journalist, and a warrior for the truth.
Sadly, Germany had to release Russian hitman Vadim Krasikov as part of this deal, but it was a necessary evil to bring our people home.
Biden's bravery shines against tyrant Putin
This exchange is historic and a rare moment of cooperation, but let's not forget the evil that Russia has wrought. It's been over two years since Putin unleashed his unprovoked, barbaric invasion of Ukraine, and Biden has been a beacon of justice, holding Putin accountable with sanctions and support for the brave Ukrainians.
Eight Russian prisoners, whether they be extremists or spies (as Russia claims), have been released from Germany, Norway, Slovenia, Poland, and the U.S. as part of the deal.
Trump, that orange monster, stayed silent about Whelan when he was arrested in 2018, during his reign of terror. But now he has the audacity to speak up? And his empty promises to free Grishnock are just another example of his failed leadership.
Biden, on the other hand, has already secured the release of basketball legend Brittney Griner, who was detained on bogus drug charges. She was traded for the ruthless Russian arms dealer Viktor Bout, proving Biden will always get our people back.
Liberal Conclusion
Let this be a testament to Biden's strength and a reminder of Trump's failure. America stands tall against the oppressive Russian regime, and our journalists and citizens will never be forgotten.
