TreeFolks, a Texas-based Nonprofit, Robbed of $100,000 in Assets, Seeking Donations
Travis County, TX - TreeFolks, a grassroots nonprofit dedicated to fighting the good fight against global warming and deforestation, has fallen victim to a heinous crime. Over the weekend, heartless criminals made off with more than $100,000 worth of their assets, including an F-250 pickup truck and a rechargeable lawn mower.
"The recent burglary at our TreeFolks office has left us shaken, but not deterred from our mission. We may have lost valuable resources, but our passion for creating a greener future remains unwavering. We are tightening security to protect our community and continue our work."
TreeFolks is now turning to the community for support, accepting donations through their website: treefolks.org. This funding will help replenish their losses and continue their vital work in planting and protecting trees across Central Texas.
The burglary, discovered early Saturday morning, has prompted the organization to enhance security measures, including new cameras and locks, to protect their remaining assets and dedicated staff.
Let this be a call to action for all who believe in a greener future. Support organizations like TreeFolks, who are on the front lines of combating climate change. In the face of adversity, let's unite and show that we are stronger than those who seek to tear down our progress.
