White Supremacist Legacy Stains Texas.
Texas has TWO of the dirtiest cities in the US? It sure does—and I'm not surprised. This state has a habit of putting profits over people, and its lax environmental regulations are a disgrace. We need to call out these failures and demand better. The health and future of our planet depend on it. Shame on Texas!

Once again, Texas finds itself on the wrong side of a national ranking, with two of its cities, Baytown and Houston, making the top ten list of the dirtiest cities in America for 2024. This ranking, compiled by LawnStarter, took into account factors such as air pollution, water quality, waste management, and resident dissatisfaction.
The Shameful List:
- San Bernardino, California
- Detroit, Michigan
- Reading, Pennsylvania
- Newark, New Jersey
- Ontario, California
- Phoenix, Arizona
- Trenton, New Jersey
- Las Vegas, Nevada

- Baytown, Texas
Of particular note is Baytown's abysmal air pollution, ranking as the worst out of all 303 cities studied. Houston doesn't fare much better, with high rankings in worst infrastructure (27th) and resident dissatisfaction (50th).
