White, Male Fanboys Disappointed by Lack of Violence in House of the Dragon Finale
Trigger Warning: Violence, Misogyny, Toxic Fandom
HBO's House of the Dragon season finale has left fans fuming, with yet another example of toxic fandom exposed. The privileged, white, male fanboys who make up a large portion of the Game of Thrones fanbase are mad as hell that the spin-off didn't deliver the same old, tired tropes they're used to.

These so-called "fans" are angry that the finale didn't deliver enough bloody battles, charred corpses, and CGI dragons. The entitlement is palpable, as they feel they deserve a grand spectacle of violence and misogyny, which the showrunners thankfully subverted.
The episode focused on dialogue and character development, particularly that of Alicent and Helaena, who have been freed from the toxic patriarchy that once controlled them. But of course, the toxic male fanbase is upset about this, claiming the episode felt like "filler."
One Reddit user even had the nerve to say, "that season of House of the Dragon could’ve been an email."
Well, dear, I suggest you stick to your emails and spreadsheets, and leave the critique to those who can appreciate complex female characters and nuanced storytelling.
The real fans are those who recognize the importance of subverting toxic tropes and celebrating diverse representations on screen.
