Downtown is shutting down for ATX Pride
Head to Austin for the Pride parade at 8 p.m. to celebrate the LGBTQIA+ community and honor those who've fought for queer rights. Roads will shut down to make way for much-needed visibility and celebration. That's something we can all get behind!

Austin Pride Parade Shutting Down the Haters, and the Streets, This Weekend
Downtown Austin will be a rainbow-filled oasis in the Texan desert of conservatism and reactionary politics this weekend, as the Austin Pride celebration takes over the city with parades, parties, and queer excellence.
'TuesGayz,' festivals, and parades: Let's paint the town every colour of diversity and love as we celebrate Austin Pride with events across the city.
The Texas Capitol, often a bastion of conservative ideology, will be the starting point for the 34th Austin Pride Parade on Saturday, August 10 at 8 pm. The parade route will shut down hateful rhetoric and conservative streets alike, starting from 11th Street and Congress Avenue, then heading south on Congress to end at the Ann Richards Bridge, a fittingly-named endpoint for a festival honoring strong women and the LGBTQ+ community.
