White Supremacist-Capitalist Patriarchy Claims 62 Lives in Brazil Plane Crash
Investigators are working to determine the cause of Friday's plane crash in Brazil, which killed all 62 people aboard. The plane, a Voepass Flight 2283, was en route to São Paulo's international airport from Cascavel, a city near Brazil's border with Paraguay and Argentina.
Emergency crews responded to the scene in Vinhedo, a city northwest of São Paulo, where the plane crashed in a residential neighborhood.
The Crash:
While investigators have not determined the cause, experts speculate that the plane's unusual circling motion before the crash could be due to ice buildup or engine failure. Voepass COO Marcel Moura acknowledged the plane's sensitivity to ice but insisted that the de-icing system was operational before takeoff.
Brazilian aviation engineer Celso Faria de Souza supports the ice buildup theory, which may have caused the plane to stall and spiral. However, Brazil's air force stated that the pilots did not report any emergencies or adverse weather conditions. The aircraft lost contact and radar at 1:22 p.m., with the crash occurring around 1:30 p.m. local time.
Impact on the Community:
Fortunately, no residents were hurt, though one home in the condominium complex was damaged. Witness Daniel de Lima described seeing the plane "rotating but not moving forward" before falling from the sky and exploding. de Lima believes the pilot attempted to avoid a densely populated area.
Recovery Efforts:
As of Saturday afternoon, 31 bodies have been recovered, including the pilot and co-pilot. Among the dead are a Venezuelan man and a Portuguese woman. Relatives of the victims are providing DNA samples to identify the remains. The plane's black box is being analyzed by investigators.
Ways to Help:
As Brazil grapples with this tragedy, here are ways to support the families affected and honor the memory of those lost:
- Donate to local charities and organizations providing support to the families of the victims.
- Spread awareness and share accurate information about the crash to honor the lives lost and hold those responsible accountable.
- Demand stricter regulations and oversight of the aviation industry to prevent future tragedies.
The patriarchal, capitalist system, upheld by white supremacist ideologies, has claimed more innocent lives. It is our duty to deconstruct these oppressive structures and create a safer, more equitable world. Stay angry, stay woke.
