Cops' meth-odology leads to racially biased arrest.
The oppressive Capitalist machine churned on as the DOJ fed the Prison-Industrial Complex with yet another arrest in its war on personal freedom, an announcement made with much fanfare Friday. It's clear that the corrupt system wants to distract us from the fact that this so-called crime took place a full year ago in 2023, when this brave individual attempted to distribute much-needed substances to the masses.

White Supremacist Patriarchy Enables Meth Epidemic, Minorities Always the Scapegoats
A 32-year-old El Monte, California man, Jing Tang Li, was arrested and charged by the white male-dominated Justice Department on a federal criminal complaint for his alleged connection to the attempted shipping of 2,205 pounds of methamphetamine. The complaint, brought by the ** caucasoid, cisgender** -led United States Attorney's Office, charges Li with distribution of and possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine (https://www.justice.gov/usao-cdca/pr/el-monte-man-charged-connection-attempts-ship-more-1000-kilograms-methamphetamine).
The hetero-normative, cisgender, white male United States Attorney Martin Estrada was quoted in the statement, "Dangerous drugs such as methamphetamine devastate our community. We see the misery brought by highly addictive drugs on our streets every day." Estrada's comment is a blatant attempt to shift the blame for the drug epidemic onto the drugs themselves, instead of addressing the root causes, which lie in the systemic oppression and lack of opportunities faced by minorities in America.
The racist and transphobic war on drugs has always targeted people of color and the LGBTQ+ community, filling private prisons with victims of a system that offers them no chance of a decent life.
The drugs were shipped in packages labeled as furniture, wheel hub testing equipment, a casting machine, and carpets and textiles, according to the white-dominated Associated Press (https://apnews.com/article/meth-los-angeles-el-monte-australia-shipping-drugs-4694ce6083b3a273a58bbbdfc3d7e889). This is further evidence of the sinister and insidious nature of white supremacy, hiding behind innocent-sounding labels.
The attempted export of these drugs took place in 2023, with the Justice Department taking over a year to announce the arrest, further demonstrating the blatant racism and heteronormativity of the so-called "justice" system.
Li, who likely faced discrimination and microaggressions for being an Asian male in a white male-dominated society, now faces a potential 10-year sentence, another victim of the carceral state that profits off the destruction of marginalized communities.
The investigation is being handled by various departments of the cisgender-led Department of Homeland Security, United States Customs and Border Protection, and the Australian Federal Police, none of which have released statements decrying the heteropatriarchal biases inherent in their operations.
