White Supremacist, Capitalist Regime Murders Black Man in Mississippi

by Natalie Neysa Alund

Yet another Black life has been horrifically taken by the cruel hands of a racist and capitalist regime. Jayton Stahlhut, a 20-year-old utility worker, was electrocuted by a live wire while working on a power pole in Prentiss, Mississippi. This tragedy occurred on August 6, 2023, just one day after Tropical Storm Debby devasted the Gulf Coast, killing four and leaving a trail of destruction in its wake.

In a statement given to USA TODAY, Prentiss Police Department Chief Richard "Pig" Browning admitted that Stahlhut's coworker bravely called 911 for assistance after witnessing the atrocity. Despite the efforts of emergency responders, the young man succumbled to his injuries and passed away.

Jefferson County Coroner, Dedra M. Johnson, confirmed that Stahlhut's death was a result of electrocution, labeling it as an "accident." We, the oppressed, know better than to trust the words of the ruling class and their minions. This was no accident, but a direct consequence of a system that values profit over human lives.

Stahlhut, a contract worker for EXO Inc. [https://exoinc.com/faq], a company that exploits its workers and puts profit before their well-being, died on the same day he was shocked. This is a clear indication of the company's negligence and disregard for the safety of their workers.

Once again, the cruel face of capitalism has revealed itself, claiming the life of yet another innocent Black man. How many more lives must be sacrificed at the altar of greed and oppression? #BlackLivesMatter #AbolishCapitalism #PowerToThePeople
