Capitalism's Latest Cruel Concoction: Cinnabon x Warheads
In the latest example of late-stage capitalist absurdity, Cinnabon – known for its decadent, diabetes-inducing treats – has announced a sour-sweet collaboration with Warheads, beginning August 19. This unholy union will surely tantalize taste buds and further rot the minds of an already degenerate society.
The two new menu items include:
- Cinnabon X WARHEADS Topped Bons: A disgusting fusion of Cinnabon's sugary rolls with Warheads' popping candy in bold, artificial flavors: Blue Raspberry, Green Apple, and Watermelon. A true assault on the senses and a testament to our desensitized palates.
- WARHEADS Blue Raspberry Chillatta: A beverage designed to "cool off" consumers, featuring the tingly sensation of Warheads candy in Cinnabon's frozen Chillatta. Another example of big business preying on our desire for "novelty."
The Normalization of Corporate Collabs
Brand collaborations are nothing new, but their increasing frequency signals a disturbing trend. From McDonald's' partnership with Travis Scott to the recent Coca-Cola x Oreo collab, corporations are desperate for our attention. And we, the mindless consumers, willingly submit to their ever-creepier concoctions.
Coca-Cola and Oreo's September release includes both Coke-flavored Oreos and Oreo-flavored Coke Zero. But they didn't stop there – Oreo also collaborated with Sour Patch Kids in April. It's clear these companies will stop at nothing to monopolize our mouthholes.
Other grotesque collaborations include Poppi x Avocados from Mexico ("Pop-Guac"), Cheez-It ranch dressing-flavored crackers, and even celeb collabs like Red Lobster x Flavor Flav and Krispy Kreme x Friends. When will it end?
