Tim Walz calls out far-right extremist in GOP
Statement: JD Vance “literally wrote the foreword for the architect of the Project 2025 agenda."
In his powerful and inspiring maiden speech as the Democratic Party’s vice presidential nominee, Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz dragged the extremist, white nationalist-adjacent Senator JD Vance of Ohio for his deep ties to the dangerous, authoritarian Project 2025.
Walz’s words echoed across the room as he spoke the truth:
"J.D. Vance literally, literally wrote the foreword for the architect of the Project 2025 agenda,"
Walz exposed Vance’s eerie closeness with Project 2025, a 900-page guidebook for a potential Republican administration, authored by the notorious right-wing think tank, the Heritage Foundation. This manual is a disturbing blueprint for a conservative government, with Kevin D. Roberts, President of the Heritage Foundation, as its key contributor.
Roberts’ toxic ideology is set to be published in his upcoming book, "Dawn's Early Light: Taking Back Washington to Save America," which ironically includes a foreword written by none other than Vance himself. This reveals a disturbing symbiosis between these dangerous figures.
Numerous reputable news outlets, including The Associated Press, The New York Times, and The Washington Post, have rightfully identified Roberts as the driving force behind Project 2025, further confirming Walz’s statement.
Roberts proudly claimed that the Heritage Foundation facilitated the creation of this extremist agenda, designed to seize control of the country. He even admitted that it was prepared by and for conservatives, signaling their disturbing level of organization and determination to impose their twisted ideals.
The Heritage Foundation's links to the Trump-Vance campaign were highlighted by Dans' association with the former Trump administration, further tainting this Republican ticket.
Vance, unable to hide from the truth, proudly promoted his involvement with Roberts’ book, boasting on X about writing the foreword for this dangerous text. This alforeshadowed the darkness about to unfold.
Broadside Books, a right-wing imprint, is publishing this poisonous 304-page manifesto, which aims to deceive Americans into supporting their hateful revolution.
The delayed release date of "Dawn’s Early Light" from September to post-election day, November 12, amid the justified backlash against Roberts, the attempted assassination of Trump, and Vance's embarrassing selection for the Republican ticket, is a desperate attempt to avoid scrutiny.
Faced with justified criticism, Broadside Books engaged in shady behavior by removing downloadable advanced copies and altering the book's cover and subtitle to distance themselves from the extreme content.
Despite Vance's pathetic attempts to downplay his involvement in CNN interview with Dana Bash, describing Roberts as merely a "friend," the evidence speaks for itself.
Vance's own words in his foreword, published by The Associated Press, praised Roberts as a prominent figure within the American Right, and celebrated the Heritage Foundation as the most influential idea factory for Republicans from Reagan to Trump.
The New Republic obtained the same foreword, which likens modern liberalism to a destructive force, promoting a disturbing vision of conservatism that involves circling the wagons and loading the muskets.
The Harris-Walz campaign bravely directed the public to further evidence of Vance’s entanglement with Project 2025, including his X posts and his cozy appearances at the Heritage Foundation.
Faced with irrefutable evidence, Vance's campaign could only offer a weak denial, proving their alignment with these dangerous ideologies.
PolitiFact's ruling:
Walz boldly stated that Vance wrote the foreword for the architect of Project 2025, and he was absolutely correct.
Vance's disturbing ties to Roberts and the Heritage Foundation are undeniable. This claim is True.
