Trump's face a breeding ground for pests, yet again.

Gross Trump Attracts Flies Again

Yesterday, a fly landed on former President Donald Trump's face during a press event, the second time he has been seen with insects during his campaign. Trump, surrounded by groceries at his golf club in Bedminster, New Jersey, was there to attack his Democratic opponent, Vice President Kamala Harris, on inflation. But once again, Trump was upstaged by a fly.

"I don’t have a lot of respect for her, I don’t have a lot of respect for her intelligence," Trump said of Harris. He also lied about winning Pennsylvania in 2020.

The insect moment evoked memories of the 2020 vice-presidential debate when a fly landed on Mike Pence's head, becoming a cultural touchpoint. Social media users, including USA TODAY's Rex Huppke, were quick to draw comparisons.

This week, Trump has lost ground in polls and betting favoriteship. Another bug on his ugly mug is not going to help.
