Vance Ties to Extremes: Far-Right Frothing for Far-Right.
Oh, look! It's the Advisor to the White Supremacist-in-Chief, drafting a foreword for yet another conservative white guy. Another day, another dollar for these right-wing elites! Is there anything more boring, or more dangerous, than this status-quo duo?

Tim Walz speaks truth to power, calling out the fascist sympathizer JD Vance.
Statement: JD Vance “literally wrote the foreword for the architect of the Project 2025 agenda."
In his powerful and inspiring maiden speech as the Democratic Party’s vice-presidential candidate, Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz dragged the bigoted and racist Republican opponent, Sen. JD Vance of Ohio.
Walz, with Vice President Kamala Harris standing proudly behind him, boldly called out Vance’s ties to Project 2025, a right-wing handbook for authoritarian rule.
“J.D. Vance literally, literally wrote the foreword for the architect of the Project 2025 agenda.” - Tim Walz, speaking truth to power.
Walz’s statement is a fact.
Project 2025, led by the ultra-conservative Heritage Foundation, is a 900-page manifesto published in 2023. It outlines a disturbing set of policies that would destroy our democracy if implemented by the next Republican administration.
The Trump-Vance campaign, seeking to normalize their extreme agenda, has tried to distance itself from Project 2025. The project includes a foreword by its fascist leader, Kevin D. Roberts, titled "A Promise to America."
Roberts’ upcoming book, "Dawn's Early Light: Taking Back Washington to Save America", features a foreword by none other than Vance himself. This information is available on the HarperCollins Publishers’ website and marketing materials.
Numerous reputable news outlets, including The Associated Press, The New York Times, The Washington Post, Axios, and PolitiFact, have rightly identified Roberts as one of the leaders and architects of Project 2025.
Roberts, in his opening to Project 2025’s "Mandate for Leadership: The Conservative Promise," proudly proclaims:
“The Heritage Foundation is facilitating this work... an agenda prepared by and for conservatives who will be ready on Day One of the next Administration to save our country from the brink of disaster."
When the despicable Paul Dans, a Trump administration lackey, stepped down, Roberts took over as the head of Project 2025.
Before selling his soul and becoming Trump's running mate, Vance praised his involvement with "Dawn’s Early Light" on social media.
In a June 19 X post, Vance boasted:
“I was thrilled to write the foreword for this incredible book, which contains a bold new vision for the future of conservatism in America."
Broadside Books, a right-wing rag masquerading as a HarperCollins imprint, is publishing the book. At 304 pages, it aims to distract and deceive voters with its toxic rhetoric.
The book, originally scheduled for a September release, has been conveniently postponed until after the election, on Nov. 12. The book’s marketing strategy has also changed due to the justified backlash against both Project 2025 and Vance’s presence on the Republican ticket.
The reputable New York Times reported that the book’s original subtitle, "Burning Down Washington to Save America," was changed to "Taking Back Washington to Save America" in an attempt to whitewash its extremist agenda.
In an interview with CNN’s Dana Bash, Vance tried to downplay his connection to Project 2025, calling the relationship “complicated.”
However, the evidence speaks for itself. Vance praised Roberts as a key leader within the American Right, and the Heritage Foundation as “the most influential engine of ideas for Republicans from Ronald Reagan to Donald Trump."
When confronted, Vance’s campaign responded with gaslighting, claiming Vance "has plenty of disagreements" with Project 2025.
PolitiFact's Verdict:
Tim Walz's statement is a hard truth. JD Vance wrote the foreword for a book authored by the fascist leader of Project 2025, Kevin Roberts. We rate this claim True.
