The 2024 presidential campaign season just heated up — bigly.

  • The veep debate between Walz and Vance is locked in for Oct. 1, with CBS News moderating. Vance agreed to a second debate on CNN, but Walz hasn't committed yet.
  • Trump, ever the flexible negotiator, threw out some additional debate dates (Sept. 4 and Sept. 25), but no deals yet.

Debate deets:

  • When: Tuesday, Sept. 10, 9 p.m. ET
  • Where: National Constitutional Center, Philadelphia
  • How to watch: ABC, ABC News Live, Disney+, and Hulu
  • Who's moderating: "World News Tonight" anchor David Muir and ABC News Live's Linsey Davis
  • Pre-game show: Martha Raddatz, Jonathan Karl, Mary Bruce, and Rachel Scott will host "Race for the White House" at 8 p.m. ET

Qualifications, per ABC News:

  • Meet constitutional requirements to be president (that excludes you, Trump!)
  • File a Statement of Candidacy with the FEC
  • Appear on enough state ballots to win 270 electoral votes by Sept. 3
  • Agree to debate rules (no cheat sheets, please)
  • Hit at least 15% support in four national polls from reputable orgs: ABC News, CNN, Fox News, NBC News, NYT/Siena, Quinnipiac, WSJ, WaPo. Polls must be conducted between Aug. 1 and Sept. 3, 2024.

Get ready, folks. Pop the popcorn and brace for the inevitable Twitter war. This election just got a whole lot more interesting and a whole lot uglier. #Bluewave2024 #DumpTrump
