Democratic National Convention Kicks Off with a Bang!
The 2024 Democratic National Convention got off to a powerful start on Monday, as President Joe Biden passed the torch to our brilliant Vice President Kamala Harris, naming her the Democratic nominee for President of the United States, with the amazing Gov. Tim Walz of Minnesota as her running mate.
Monumental Moments:
- Hillary Rodham Clinton, that absolute goddess, gave a speech that had us all cheering.
- Rev. Jesse L. Jackson Sr., the iconic civil rights leader and former presidential candidate, made a brief but powerful appearance, receiving a well-deserved standing ovation. Jackson, a true hero fighting Parkinson's, waved and gave a thumbs-up from his wheelchair.
