Oh Look, It's Bill Clinton at the DNC, Reminding Us He's Still Younger Than Trump

Chicago — Day three of the 2024 Democratic National Convention saw former President Bill Clinton grace the stage, because why not? It's not like we haven't seen this show before.

Clinton, in his infinite charm, reminded us that 50 million jobs were created under Democrats since the Cold War, while Republicans managed a whopping one million. Way to go, GOP! He also threw some shade at Trump's speechwriting skills, or lack thereof.

Clinton's presence was a not-so-subtle nod to the party's shift from triangulation and NAFTA to actually useful things like infrastructure spending and child tax credits. groundbreaking, right?

But the real comedy gold came when Clinton joked about his age. "The only personal vanity that I want to assert is that I'm still younger than Donald Trump," he quipped. LOL, Bill, you card! For the record, Clinton turned 78 in August, while Trump hit 78 in June. That makes Clinton younger by a whole two months. Wow, what a difference!

Bill Clinton's Presidential Age: A Trip Down Memory Lane

Just in case you forgot, the White House's website tells us Clinton served from 1993 to 2001. He took office at the ripe age of 46 and left at 54. Ah, to be young and president.

Age: The Elephant in the Election Room

Before Biden stepped out of the 2024 race, age was all the rage in election chat. Both Biden and Trump set records for oldest elected president, because geriatric leadership is so in. But with Harris now the Democratic nominee (she'll be 60 in October), the age issue seems to have taken a backseat. Biden, meanwhile, will hit 82 in November. Aww, happy birthday, Joe!
