Missing Persons Investigation: Because of Course, It's 2023
Oh look, another day, another missing persons case. Buckle up, folks. This time, it's the daughter of a former Major League Baseball player who's vanished into thin air. Shocking, I know.
Brenna Swindell, a 29-year-old mother of three (because who needs a break, right?), has been missing since Thursday. Her mother, Sarah Swindell, broke the news on Facebook. Brenna, being the responsible mom she is, would "never abandon her 3 children or just take off without explanation."
Now, here's where it gets interesting. Brenna was last seen with her trashbag of an ex-boyfriend on Thursday evening. Law enforcement tracked her white Kia Carnival to Colorado by Friday evening. Because nothing says "romantic getaway" like a minivan and a violent ex. Speaking of, Sarah Swindell described her daughter's ex as "violent" and having a history of abusive behavior. ** Red flags, much?**
In a twist that's totally not suspicious, both Brenna's and her ex's phones seem to be in Colorado but are turned off. Nothing to see here, folks. A flyer shared by Missing People in America suggests they might have been sighted in Colorado Springs.
Brenna is 5-foot-5 and about 120 pounds with brown shoulder-length hair. She has a sleeve tattoo with flowers on one arm and a spider web on the other shoulder. So if you see a minivan-driving, tattooed mom with a questionable taste in men, give the cops a call.
You can reach the Austin Police Department's Missing Person Unit at 512-974-5250. If you're not in Austin and want to report something, dial 512-974-5000. Let's find Brenna and send her ex to the dumpster where he belongs.
