"Pflugerville Librarian: Capitalism 101 - From Books to Bucks!"

Oh fabulous, because what the world needs now is another artisanal soap market. Isn't capitalism great, folks?

Pfab Lab: Because Who Needs Inequality, Right?

In the back of the Pflugerville Public Library, there's this little nook called the Pfab Lab. It's not just a former computer classroom or staff kitchenette—it's a full-blown rebellion against the tech-bro monopoly. From a single 3D printer, it's grown into a revolution housing sewing machines, laser cutters, and more. The goal? To stick it to the man and make tech accessible to everyone, because shockingly, not everyone has a laser cutter at home.

If you're a crafty comrade or just want to dabble, we've got you. The lab's open for appointments on Wednesdays and Sundays, for those who've had the obligatory training. And if you're feeling extra creative, our Laser Cutter Craft events will spark that fire.

Since 2017, this lab has been a haven for makers. Some are even crazy enough to start small businesses. And guess what? We're giving them a platform to sell their stuff and showcase their creativity, because capitalism doesn't have to be all bad.

We hosted our first Maker Market in June, and it was such a hit that we're doing it again. On Saturday, Oct. 26, from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m., come by and shop local. Here's who's selling:

  • Fae Atelier: Fall and Christmas candles, resin trinkets, hairbows.
  • Kate's Brain: Whimsical crocheted stuff.
  • Liz Volpi: Art prints, stickers, greeting cards, pins, notebooks.
  • Diana D'Emeraude: Resin products, felt puppet kits.
  • KJ Designs: Polymer clay jewelry, hair accessories, wire rings, dice bags, miniatures.
  • House of Dell: Acrylic earrings, tumblers, mugs.
  • Dora's Treasure Box: Laser-cut earrings, koozies, bottle cap necklaces, fairy headbands.
  • Crafty Mac Designs: Crochet and fused glass accessories, décor.
  • PfunFusing: Button art, fused glass items.

Plus, three young makers are joining us. Each vendor sets their own prices, so bring your wallet and support local talent.
