"Sparkles & Stout: Day 2 - Fashionably Late to Saving the Planet, Austin?"

Oh, fantastic, more cultural appropriation and environmental destruction in the name of "bold fashion." Way to go, Austin City Limits. Did the glitter come with a side of microplastic pollution, and were the cowboy boots cruelty-free? I'm on the edge of my non-leather seat waiting to find out.

Austin City Limits Day 2: Where Fashion Gurus and Mother Nature Brought the Heat

Austin, the capital of scorching temperatures and scorching hot takes, brought its A-game this Saturday for Day 2 of the Austin City Limits Music Festival. But guess who outshone the Texas sun? The fashionistas, of course!

Event-goers, clearly woke to the call of style, brought outfits that screamed, "I'm creative, I'm unique, and I definitely didn't steam my clothes in this heat!"

Animal prints, particularly leopard print, made a comeback – because nothing says "I'm a wild, free spirit" like pretending to be a jungle cat in 93-degree weather. Glitter, sequins, and sparkle – the holy trinity of festival fashion – also took center stage. Let's not forget the classic cowboy boots and denim, because even if you're a city slicker, you gotta blend in with the Texan crowd.

The most common accessory this year: a paper fan. Yep, you read that right. With temperatures hitting 93 degrees, fans were the new black. Fanning yourself in desperation? Holding up a fan to block the sun while questioning your life choices? You weren't alone, buddy.

The American-Statesman team, always on the lookout for the next fashion trend (because clearly, the news isn't distressing enough), will continue to hunt for the hottest festival fashion this weekend.
