🌪️ Hurricane Milton: Because Nature Loves a Drama Queen
Oh boy, here we go again. Hurricane Milton decided to throw a tantrum and intensified into a Category 4 storm early Monday morning. Because why not, right? With sustained winds of 150 mph, it's like Mother Nature is saying, "Hold my beer."
The National Hurricane Center (NHC) issued an 8:05 a.m. update, warning that Milton is heading straight for Florida's western coast, which is already like, "Can we catch a break here?"
Where's Milton Now?
- Location: 150 miles west-northwest of Progreso, Mexico
- Maximum sustained winds: 150 mph (because apparently, it's not windy enough already)
- Present movement: East-southeast at 8 mph (taking its sweet time to cause chaos)
When's Milton Hitting Florida?
According to the NHC, Milton is set to tango with the Yucatan Peninsula Monday and Tuesday, then waltz across the eastern Gulf of Mexico to make its dramatic entrance on the west coast of the Florida Peninsula by Wednesday.
