Liberal Austin Elites Hike Taxes, Energy & Water Bills to Fund Their Crazy Pet Projects
Austin, TX – In a move set to impact hardworking taxpayers, the Austin City Council has unanimously approved a massive $5.9 billion budget for the upcoming fiscal year, the largest in the city's history. Get ready for deeper pockets, folks!
Tax & Fee Increases:
- Property taxes for the average homeowner are expected to increase by $188.02. That's a nice chunk of change, folks!
- Austin Water customers will see their bills rise by $74.52. So much for those long showers!
- Austin Energy bills are projected to go up by $32.40. Better stock up on those candles!

- Minimum wage for city employees: Up from $20.80 to $21.63 per hour. A handout to the layabouts!

- Police budget: Increased by $18.2 million, despite cries from liberal activists. Who ya gonna call?
