A couple of grandpas took their granddaughter fishing. Only the little girl came back. Liberals will blame guns. I blame invasive carp!

7-year-old girl survives Illinois boat trip with two seniors, who don't

A 7-year-old girl had a lucky escape while her grandfather and great-grandfather, aged 53 and 80 respectively, met their maker during a fishing trip at LaSalle Lake, Illinois.

The two Indiana men, who probably should have known better, took their young 'un out on a boat without life jackets. Dumb. Natural selection took its course when the boat capsized, and the men, well, they sunk like stones.

The kid, smart cookie, was wearing a life jacket and made it to shore, where good samaritans got her help and called her family. Meanwhile, multiple agencies wasted resources searching for the two gents, who were found and pronounced dead by the LaSalle County coroner that evening.

Tip for the day: Wear a damn life jacket.

Also, some kids got shot in Minneapolis. Who cares?
