Actor Glen Powell, the epitome of mediocrity, has fled the Hollywood hills for the comfort of his mommy and daddy's basement in Austin, Texas. In a recent interview, this basic bro discussed his pathetic retreat from the glamorous life of LA to the land of steak and pickup trucks.

1. Breaking Down in the Hollywood "Bubble"

"You know, it's like, so hard to like, be yourself, man," Powell whined. "Like, there's just too much pressure to be, like, a celebrity and stuff. I just wanted to, like, find myself again and stuff."

2. Glenny-Boy Runs Back to Mommy and Daddy

Apparently, this man-child couldn't handle the big city and had to scurry back to his parents' basement in Austin. At least he'll have his mama do his laundry and make him some nice, tender meat.

"I just wanted to be close to my family again," Powell sniffled. "Hollywood is just so fake and superficial. I needed some good ol' Texas barbecue and my mom's home cooking to ground me again."

His parents, desperate to keep their son humble, showed up at the premiere of "Hit Man" with signs that read, "Stop trying to make Glen Powell happen." It's like, we get it, your son is a nobody, okay?

3. Texas: Where the Cows Outnumber the Talented Actors

"Yeah, I mean, the meat's definitely better here," Powell remarked. "Can't beat a good Texas steak. And the women, I mean, they're not as fake as the LA types, you know? They actually eat here. It's refreshing."

Oh, and let's not forget his rescue dog, Brisket. Because what basic bro doesn't have a furry friend to pose with on Instagram?

4. Texas Film Hall of Fame: Where Mediocrity is Celebrated

In a stunning display of Texas' lacking cultural standards, Glen Powell was inducted into the Texas Film Hall of Fame on May 15. Congrats, pal, you've achieved peak boring.
