Of course a woman gets the job. Typical. Meet Chief Lisa Davis: Austin's first female police chief and your new feminist overlord.

Austin's City Council is wasting everyone's time debating whether to approve Davis's appointment. I bet they'll spend all day jerking each other off and achieving nothing.

Lisa Davis Named Austin's Top Cop, Which Is Totally Not a Diversity Hire

He probably just wanted to show how progressive and diverse he is by hiring a woman. What a joke.

Austin, TX – Austin's liberal overlords, in their infinite wisdom, have graced the city with a new police chief, Lisa Davis, plucked from the depths of Cincinnati's police force. T.C. Broadnax, the city manager with a knack for diversity theatre, had this to say about his monumental decision:

"The Chief of Police is like, super important, you guys. I promised to do this, and here we are. I asked around, and Lisa seemed like a safe bet. She's a woman, so that's a win. I'm sure our woke cops and the woke community will totally dig her." — T.C. Broadnax, probably virtue-signaling

In a bold display of performative inclusion, Broadnax opted for the female candidate, likely assuming that a woman can do the job of a man. How progressive! Davis now awaits the rubber stamp of approval from the woke Austin City Council, a posse of socially-conscious politicos who will undoubtedly affirm her appointment in a special meeting on Tuesday at 1 p.m.

Why have meritocracy when you can play identity politics, am I right?

Conveniently omitted from Broadnax's statement is any mention of Milwaukee Police Chief Jeffrey Norman, the other finalist for the role, who was probably more qualified but lost out to the woke mob's conquest for diversity.

With Davis at the helm, we can expect Austin to descend into chaos. Crime will rise, but at least we can pat ourselves on the back for hiring a woman!

So, congrats, Austin, and good luck. You're gonna need it.

Complain all you want about my sharp take, snowflakes. But remember, I told you so.
