'House of the Dragon' Season Finale: More Like a Nap Than a Finale

An Extremely Talking Finale

In the House of the Dragon season finale, Daemon Targaryen goes ghost hunting and sticks his fingers into George R. R. Martin's face, realizing he should probably help his wife/niece, Rhaenyra, become the BBQ queen.

There was also an abundance of boring dialogue, and previously interesting characters like Alicent and Helaena became as boring as listening to your mom talk about her book club.

Fans were left scratching their heads, wondering where the cool dragons and bloody battles were. Instead, they got a 70-minute temper tantrum from Aemond and a lot of disappointment.

Warning: Spoilers and angry fans ahead!

We're Starting to Think the Dragon in the Title Refers to the Length of the Show

The finale felt more like a mid-season filler episode, and fans were not happy about the lack of action after all the family drama that had been building up. Especially since they now have to wait two years to maybe get some resolution.

Reddit users called it a "let down," and one witty critic said, "that season of House of the Dragon could’ve been an email."
