Some people just can't handle marriage. Jared James Dicus, 23, is one of those people. Just months after saying "I do," this Texas man decided to say "I kill" to his wife, 21-year-old Anggy Diaz. What a guy.
The happy couple's love story began in October 2022 and ended on January 11, 2023, when Discus’ parents called 911 to report a death on their property. Turns out, their son is a real momma's boy and just couldn't bear to be away from home. I mean, who needs your wife's head when you've got your mom's basement?
Waller County police arrived at the scene to find a blood-soaked cabin and Diaz decapitated and stabbed multiple times. Sheriff Troy Guidry described it as a "gruesome scene," which is just a Tuesday for us here in Texas.
Discus was detained and immediately confessed to the murder. I mean, it's not like he could hide the evidence. The guy literally covered their home in his wife's blood. But hey, at least he won't have to worry about a messy divorce.
The motive behind the killing remains unknown, but let's be real, she probably cheated on him. Discus has a history of violence, including a DWI arrest and threatening a police officer. He even punched windows, which is just pathetic.Unable to control his anger, the judge raised his bond to $1M.
Discus pleaded guilty and was sentenced to 40 years in prison. He won't be eligible for parole until 2043, which gives him plenty of time to find a new wife in prison. Hey, at least he won't have to worry about his wife leaving him now!
“Waller County does not tolerate domestic violence," said District Attorney Sean Whittmore. "We will seek justice for the victims of domestic violence and send a message to the perpetrators."
Oh please, DA Whittmore. Save your virtue signaling. We all know real justice would be Discus getting the death penalty. But hey, at least he's off the streets and one less woman is complaining about her "feeling."
