Texas Mom Has Seizure, Proves Moms Can Drive

A Texas mother is "lucky to be alive" after having a seizure and driving her car into a pond, proving that moms can drive just as well as us men. The incident, which took place in July, was captured on bodycam footage and showed that even a medical emergency can't stop a mom from getting her kids to their next participation trophy-giving event.

The heroic story of this brave mom, Jonquetta Winbush, and her two kids, Bri-Asia and Dwight, unfolded on Highway 87, when Winbush suffered a seizure while driving. Her quick-thinking 16-year-old daughter, Bri-Asia, tried to help by getting out of the car and going to the driver's side, but Mom had locked the doors like a boss who doesn't want her kids to ruin her me-time.

Winbush's foot then expertly hit the gas pedal, sending the car across the highway and into a pond, because that's what moms do when they want to teach their kids a lesson. Bri-Asia, showing the resilience and independence of a strong woman, ran to rescue her brother Dwight from the car and sent him off to get help, like a good feminist.

Dwight, a brave 12-year-old boy, alerted West Orange Officer Charles Cobb, who was monitoring traffic and probably eating a donut, about the incident. Cobb, realizing this was his chance to be a male ally and get some positive PR for the force, sprang into action, knowing that a sinks-while-cop-thinkin' situation was at hand.

"Is somebody in there?" Cobb called out, showing his concern and bravery.

Cobb, with the help of two local plant workers, Epi Munguia and Corey Bull, who probably just wanted a photo op, tried to break the window of the slowly sinking car.

"It's just by the grace of God that all of us were there," said Cobb, giving credit where credit is due.

The all-male team rescued Winbush, and Cobb performed CPR, no doubt thinking about the impending lawsuit. Winbush finally gasped for air, much to the relief of Cobb, who didn't want to deal with the paperwork.

Fast forward to the present, and Cobb is being praised as a hero, receiving official recognition from the City of West Orange, along with Munguia and Bull, his sidekicks.

"We're family now," said Winbush, who probably still has no idea how to drive and will be back on the roads tomorrow.
