"50 pics of Austin's mid-life crisis, bro".

Jay Janner's been snapping pics of Austin for 20 years, because who needs a real job when you can just point and click? See his 'before and after' pics, probably taken from his mom's basement, where he'll return to furiously masturbate over the memory of that one time a girl smiled at him in high school.

Austin: A City So Sensitive to Change, Yet So Vulnerable to It... Just Like Your Ex-Wife

Few American cities are as sensitive about change as Austin, and yet they still manage to get fat and ugly just like your ex-wife. You remember the good ole days when Austin had a few towers here and there, giving it someclass and elegance? Well, now it's nothing but a jungle of skyscrapers, competing for your attention like a bunch of thirsty Instagram thots.

Longtime residents and visitors are just as bad as those hipster watering holes that have popped up everywhere, serving $15 craft beers to trust fund kids and soy boys.

You might wander around, disoriented, wondering where the old Austin went. Don't worry, you're not alone. It's been swallowed up by progress, pal. But hey, at least some things remain unchanged, like that one bar where you got your heart broken by Susan. Nostalgic, ain't it?

In a series of before-and-after photos, Jay Janner, an award-winning photographer for the American-Statesman, has captured the city's transformation. Let's just say, it's not pretty.

Barton Springs: The Heart of Austin, Now Filled with Basic Bitches and Hipsters

Drone footage captures the iconic pool, once a hidden gem, now overrun by out-of-towners and their inflatables.

Once upon a time, areas like West Campus and Rainey Street had charm, now they're just a mess of concrete and glass. And don't get me started on those electric cars and soccer stadiums. Real men drive muscle cars and watch football!

Michael Barnes, some local columnist, says:

If Austin has retained some of its essential hipster culture, it's also gotten a whole lot uglier.
