Old Farts Reunite: Bill Clinton Slams Trump at DNC, Reminds Us We're All Doomed
CHICAGO — Day three of the Democratic National Convention brought us a blast from the past when former President Bill Clinton graced the stage, looking like a relic from a museum exhibit titled "Politics: The Good Ol' Boys Era."
Slick Willy bragged that 50 million jobs were created under Democrats since the end of the Cold War, while Republicans managed a measly one million. Because we all know jobs are only created by the party in power, right? eye roll
Clinton took a jab at Trump's habit of mentioning fictional characters in his speeches. I mean, at least Trump's characters are interesting. Clinton's just a walking, talking history lesson at this point.
The DNC has morphed from the era of triangulation and NAFTA to infrastructure spending and child tax credits. Because nothing says "progress" like throwing money at problems and hoping they go away.
Clinton tried to be funny, joking about his age before taking a swipe at Trump's. "The only personal vanity that I want to assert is that I'm still younger than Donald Trump," Clinton said. Spoiler alert: Clinton turned 78 on Aug. 19, and Trump hit 78 in June. Wow, Bill, way to one-up him by two whole months.

Just How Old Was Bill During His Presidency?
Clinton served as the 42nd President from 1993 to 2001, according to the White House's website. He took office at 46 and left at 54. Ah, the good old days when leaders were young enough to remember their own policies.
Age: The Elephant in the Room
Before Joe Biden bowed out, age was the hot topic of the 2024 election. Both Biden and Trump set records for being the oldest elected presidents. The issue has faded since Harris became the Democratic nominee. Harris will turn 60 in October, while Biden turns 82 in November. Because apparently, being slightly younger makes you a spring chicken in politics.
