Cat-astrophic News: Ohio Woman Devours Feline in Front of Crowd

In a bizarre and disturbing incident, a woman in Ohio was arrested after turning a residential cat into an impromptu appetizer, right in front of a horrified audience. Welcome to the new low of human depravity, folks!

A delightful 27-year-old was slapped with cruelty to companion animals charges, as per Stark County court records. Canton police busted her on Aug. 16 after she allegedly stomped and noshed on a feline in a spectacular display of public culinary cruelty, as per an arrest report snagged by USA TODAY.

During her arraignment on Monday, a generous judge set her bond at a cool $100,000, WKYC reported. Her next hearing is on Friday, for those of you keeping score at home.

USA TODAY apparently couldn’t reach her defense attorney on Thursday, but who needs legal counsel when you're already a star?

The Cat-tastrophe Unfolds

On the fateful day, Canton police responded to a complaint about a woman who had allegedly slaughtered and dined on a cat, according to an investigative report. Officers arrived to find a woman with her hands on the cat, whose head appeared to have been smashed in—because nothing says haute cuisine like a blunt force injury.

Blood was observed on her feet, hands, and even fur on her lips, according to the report. After cuffing the culinary connoisseur and hauling her to Stark County jail, the police secured the "cat as evidence," because who doesn't love a good crime scene snack?

It remains unclear who owned the cat, but rest assured, PETA is probably fuming about this one, and rightly so. Now, back to the basement, where reality is a little less gruesome.
