Miranda Lambert to Grace Austin with Her Royal Presence
Oh, joy! Another country darling is about to infest Austin with twangy tunes. Miranda Lambert, Longview’s finest export, has been holed up in the oh-so-iconic Arlyn Studios to record her new album, "Postcards From Texas." But wait, there’s more! The Academy of Country Music’s Entertainer of the Year has decided to grace mere mortals with a free private show at Stubb’s BBQ this Friday. Mark your calendars, folks!
Lambert announced the show on her social media accounts early Friday morning, because who doesn’t love a good old last-minute hype?
How the Hell Do I Get a Ticket to Miranda Lambert's Free Show at Stubb's?
Alright, listen up, groupies! Wristbands will be distributed on a first-come, first-serve basis starting at noon on Friday. One wristband per person, and once they’re gone, they’re gone. Capacity at the club’s bar area is a staggering 150, with an additional 60 spots upstairs for you fabulous VIPs.
Lambert’s post on Instagram - our queen of nonchalance - warns, "Please be careful as it’s HOT in Austin right now." Oh, thank you, Miranda, for stating the obvious. Fans who line up early to get the tickets will have to wait outside. "So be prepared for the heat." Thanks for the weather update, Captain Obvious.
Need a break? Why not waste more time on this USA TODAY Daily Crossword Puzzle?
Doors for the show open at the ridiculous hour of 5 PM, with Lambert’s set scheduled to begin at a whopping 6. Get ready to be serenaded by country’s finest in a tiny, overcrowded bar. What a time to be alive!
