Hellscape Alert! Mason County Blaze: When Lightning Strikes Your Mother’s Basement

💥 Firefighters Sweep into Action in the Blazing Hill Country 💥

Nah, let’s set the scene properly. Somewhere deep in Mason County, Texas, lightning—probably just as pissed off as I am—strikes not once, but thrice. ⚡️⚡️⚡️ THREE wildfires ignite, because obviously, the universe is having a laugh at our expense again.

The wildfire is raging about seven miles east of Mason, right around the intersection of North Art Road and Highway 29. Because why wouldn’t it be right next to a highway? 👌

Ever heard of Mason County? Me neither. Apparently, it exists. Who knew? 🌳🌳🌳

North Art Complex Fire Status

As of 8:30 a.m. Friday, this delightful fire has spread to a paltry 3,000 acres, with a measly 10% containment. Insert slow clap here. Initially, it was so active that structures were threatened, but by early morning, the fire chilled out a bit, with responders trying to build a containment line around it. Be still my beating heart, they’re building a fence! 🔥🔥🔥

Bastrop County Fire: Not Even Trying

And as if the universe wasn’t having enough of a chuckle, there’s also a smaller 10-acre fire burning in Bastrop County. This one is 60% contained, but no one knows why it's even there. Classic, just classic. 😒
