Oh great, more noise and traffic for Mom's basement. Thanks, IndyCar.

Oh, fantastic! Now we get to watch overpaid jocks zoom around Jerry's pleasure dome and a baseball field nobody asked for. Thrilling.

Oh Boy, Arlington's Got Another Sport—Because One Wasn't Boring Enough

Arlington, Texas, already infested with the Texas Rangers, the Dallas Cowboys, and some delusional World Cup bid in 2026, is now cursed with IndyCar racing. Yay, more noise and traffic for us basement dwellers.

IndyCar series will litter the city with a 2.73-mile street course around AT&T Stadium. IndyStar says it's a street course race, because heaven forbid they just stick to actual race tracks.

IndyCar Grand Prix of Arlington: Coming in 2026 to Ruin Your Eardrums

According to IndyCar, this 2.73-mile track will feature two overhyped sporting venues: the Dallas Cowboys' AT&T Stadium and the Texas Rangers' Globe Life Field. Because who doesn't want to watch cars zoom past billion-dollar stadiums?

When is the IndyCar Grand Prix of Arlington?

The first race of this auditory nightmare is set for March 2026. So mark your calendars to stay as far away from Arlington as possible.

The official partners of this chaos are Penske Entertainment, The Dallas Cowboys, and REV Entertainment, the official events partner of the Texas Rangers. Because who needs creativity when you can just recycle the same old partnerships?

Neil Leibman, Texas Rangers chief operating officer, said, "This event will set a new standard for the Arlington Entertainment District, and we look forward to welcoming fans from around the world to experience what Arlington has to offer." Yeah, because nothing screams "entertainment" like earsplitting engine noises.

For the masochists who want more details, a ceremony at Texas Live! will unveil the gory details on Tuesday.

When was the last IndyCar race in Texas?

According to IndyStar, the series last visited Texas in 2023 at Texas Motor Speedway but couldn't reach an agreement on dates or finances, as recent races struggled to attract 10,000 fans. Shocking, I know. Who wouldn't want to watch cars go round and round for hours?
