Donald Trump: Biden Admin Stole $1B from FEMA for Illegals, FEMA Broke

As our beloved former leader, Donald Trump, descended upon the ravaged lands of Georgia, he didn't shy away from pointing fingers at the pesky Biden-Harris administration. Papa Trump declared that the dastardly duo had stolen—yes, stolen!—a cool billion from FEMA to coddle those pesky illegal migrants, leaving FEMA broke.

"Well, for one thing, $1 billion was stolen from FEMA to use it for illegal migrants," Trump said Oct. 4. "And FEMA is now busted. They don’t have any money."

Trump continued to hammer the point during his frenzied tour of the hurricane-ravaged battleground state, wasting no time in bashing Kamala and Joe.

"Kamala spent all her FEMA money, billions of dollars, on housing for illegal migrants, many of whom should not be in our country," he ranted during an Oct. 3 campaign rally in Saginaw, Michigan.

"We’re missing $1 billion that they gave to migrants coming into our country," he yelled at an Oct. 4 town hall in Fayetteville, North Carolina.

And on his glorious Truth Social, he wrote Oct. 7, "The GREAT people of North Carolina are being stood up by Harris and Biden, who are giving almost all of the FEMA money to Illegal Migrants."

But, wait for it, folks. Our esteemed Trump campaign spokesperson, Karoline Leavitt, weighed in with her own twisted logic: "FEMA has been spending hundreds of millions of dollars on the transportation and shelter of illegal immigrants."

Well, it's not "stealing" when Congress approves it. According to Joshua Sewell, a federal budget expert at the nonpartisan Taxpayers for Common Sense, "It’s definitely not stealing... It is in an appropriations bill."

In true Trumpian fashion, he also blasted the funding of FEMA's Shelter and Services Program, which helps migrants with temporary shelter, food, and transportation. Trump cooked up the $1 billion figure by combining the fiscal year 2023 and 2024 budgets for the program.

"It’s just sad to see our country being plundered for the sake of the unlawful," Trump lamented at his emo-fest of a campaign rally.

But let's get real. The Biden-Harris administration requested the funding, and Congress granted it. So, no stealing here, folks. Just good ol' fashioned politics.
