Oh great, more old dudes yodeling about booze. Kill me now.

Oh great, the hippie weirdo who 'reshaped' Austin—because God knows it needed more freaking dreamcatchers—is back, gracing us with his presence for the TV show anniversary. Joy to the freaking world. Shove a taco in it, Austin.

Willie "Over-the-Hill" Nelson Graces Austin with His Wrinkly Presence

Oh boy, grab your pitchforks and light up your torches, folks! The geriatric wonder, Willie Nelson, crawled out of his rocking chair and onto the stage at the Austin City Limits Music Festival on Friday night. The Red-Headed Stranger, who's probably older than the dust on my mom's basement shelves, decided to crash Chris Stapleton's set for a riveting rendition of "Whiskey River."

Yeah, yeah, he's 91 and still got it. Whoop-de-doo. He sat there like a lump on a log with his ancient guitar, Trigger, while the skyline of Austin twinkled in the background. Bet those lights were laughing at him too.

The Old Fart's Austin Roots

For those who care, Willie released "Whiskey River" back when dinosaurs roamed the Earth, on his 1973 album "Shotgun Willie." He left Nashville for the weirdo haven of Austin and suddenly found his calling among the hippies and misfits. Good for him, I guess.

Anniversaries, Big Whoop

As if he needs another excuse to be in the spotlight, Willie is in town for the 50th anniversary of 'Austin City Limits.' He's celebrating the taping of the first episode of the show back in 1974. They're having a big shindig at the Long Center Lawn next week, and you can watch it online because, you know, no one wants to actually go see a bunch of old people reminisce. Free tickets via lottery, or just watch the livestream at aclturns50.com.

Besties Forever?

Stapleton and Nelson are apparently thick as thieves. They've toured together on the Outlaw Country Music Tour, and Stapleton has graced Willie's Fourth of July Picnic multiple times. Oh, and he attended Willie's 90th birthday bash. What a party animal.
