We asked, you delivered: P. Terry's is crowned king of fries in ATX!
After a week of intense voting, the results are in: P. Terry's takes the top spot for Austin's best fries. With 19 contenders, this local chain came out on top, bagging a whopping 25.36% of your votes. It just goes to show that sometimes, a simple paper bag of hot fries is all you need to embody that classic Austin comfort food vibe.
But the race was tight, folks. In second place, we have a longtime Austinite favorite: Hyde Park Bar & Grill with 22.69%. Their secret? Buttermilk batter, a dash of black pepper, and a dip in their special Hyde Park sauce. Now that's a fry worth fighting for.
And let's not forget our third-place winner, the iconic Dan's Hamburgers, with 8.25%. These guys proved that crispy curly fries are a crunch above the rest.
So there you have it, folks. In the great fry-off, it was P. Terry's that ruled. If you're ever in the area, hit up these fry masters and treat yourself to some of the best spuds Austin has to offer.
