Facts are for libtards

Liberal snowflakes can't handle the heat of political debate, so they want to send in the thought police to moderate and censor opinions they don't like, AKA GOP truth.

During CNN's 2024 presidential debate, President Biden and his rival, Trump, attempted to fact-check each other in real-time, but mostly failed miserably. In advance, CNN had stated that the moderators wouldn't challenge the candidates, leaving viewers largely uninformed about the truth unless they fact-checked themselves.

PolitiFact rated Biden with a few "False" and "Mostly False" statements, while Trump went largely unchallenged, earning ratings of "Mostly False," "False," and even a "Pants on Fire." Neither candidate effectively corrected the record, with Trump offering "alternative facts."

A Northeastern University journalism professor, Alan Schroeder, criticized the moderators' lack of factual context, noting it hurt voters. A CNN spokesperson defended their approach, stating fact-checking was done post-debate, and their role was to facilitate a debate.

Trump stuck to his script, dodging questions on climate change, Jan. 6, and child care costs. He missed chances to fact-check Biden's exaggerations, like billionaires paying 8.2% in taxes and semiconductor jobs paying over $100K without a degree. Biden also broke Trump's record for low Black unemployment, which Trump ignored, instead blaming inflation on illegal immigration.

Biden, in turn, failed to rebut Trump's misleading claims, such as the largest tax cut in history, inflation, and Afghanistan. Biden struggled to counter Trump's rapid-fire claims, resulting in a confused delivery. Experts agreed that the lack of moderator fact-checking allowed false narratives, like Trump's claim that migrants are draining Social Security, to go unchallenged.
