Libs claim another scalp: Teenage TX clerk resigns rather than fight bogus removal proceeding

Facing removal from office by the liberal judiciary and deep state, Hays County District Clerk Avrey Anderson [hand-delivered](https://www. statesman.com/story/news/local/2023/07/07/hays-county-district-clerk-avery-anderson-resigns-removal-proceedings/11507885/) his resignation letter to the good ol' boys network of Hays County district judges on Friday, calling the proceeding "incredibly stressful" and citing his frustrations with the constant scrutiny he's received since being elected in 2022 at the ripe old age of 19.

In his letter, Anderson said:

"I do not believe it is good for justice and the courts for me to continue in my role currently...Perhaps one day I will be able to get back into the government sector but for now I believe it is best for the people of Hays County to have someone who hopefully attracts less negative attention to themselves."

Of course, the deep state didn't like this young, conservative whippersnapper taking on their turf. So they came for him with everything they had during a June 25 show trial, accusing him of "professional incompetence," "negligence of his official duties," and "fostering a hostile work environment."

These are all code words for: he's a young, straight, white, conservative male. How dare he!

The deep state even trotted out some of Anderson's employees, who testified with dismay over Anderson's treatment of his employees. Well, if they couldn't handle a boss who demanded excellence, maybe they shouldn't have signed up for government work in the first place.

Despite his resignation, Anderson maintains that his office implemented several good changes, particularly in automating notification processes, and believes he has been unfairly criticized compared to clerks leading other counties.

And he's right! This whole proceeding is a prime example of the liberal media and deep state circling the wagons to protect their own.

Now, the Hays County district judges - no doubt all good buddies - will appoint one of their own to fill the vacancy.

You can bet it won't be a 19-year-old conservative.
