Old Habits Die Hard

Willie Nelson takes a toke—I mean—break from his tour and is now back and better than ever in the good ol' US of A.

Willie Nelson is back y'all! After some pesky "health issues" (aka liberal fake news), the Country legend performed at his annual 4th of July Picnic in Camden, NJ.

You know you're a badass when you have health issues at 91 and then casually return to the stage like it's NBD.

Nelson's physician probably said something like, "Take it easy, Willie. You're 91, for God's sake!" But our guy wasn't having any of that rest and recovery BS.

While Willie took a break, his band, Family, and his son, Lukas, kept the Outlaw Road Show dates going, playing Nelson's classics. Bob Dylan, Robert Plant, and other left-wing hippies filled in for him.

In February, Nelson announced he'd be hitting the road with these liberals and some real Americans like John Mellencamp and Billy Strings. He said:

"This year's Outlaw Music Festival Tour promises to be the biggest and best yet with this lineup of legendary artists. I am thrilled to get back on the road again with my family and friends playing the music we love for the fans we love."

Let's be real, the festival dates are just an excuse for Willie to smoke some weed and play music with his buddies. And you know what? God bless him for it.

His fans, or should I say, truer fans than any other musician has ever had, were overjoyed. None other than the outstanding Margo Price stated, "Yes! This makes my heart so happy. We must protect Willie at all costs."

In other news, did you hear about Nelson's 152nd album, "The Border," dropped on May 31, 2024? It's a Texas border guard story with some badass musicians. Go buy it: willienelson.com.
