Mississippi Murderers Pull a Shawshank

Claiborne County, MS – Two inmates pulled a fast one on the idiots running the joint at the Claiborne County Detention Center, giving themselves a little uncouth, early release. Tyrekennel Collins, 24, and Dezarrious Johnson, 18, did a runner at 2:20 a.m. on July 5, likely giving the jail's useless guards the slip while they were busy sleeping on the job.

The dynamic duo, who were being held on murder charges, decided the ceiling was their window to freedom. They pulled a Houdini and vanished without a trace, leaving the local coppers scratching their heads.

If you're in the area, keep your eyes peeled for these two angels. Collins is a black man, and his buddy Johnson, from Natchez, sports a limp on his right leg, a memento from their great escape. They're both considered dangerous, so if you see 'em, don't try to be a hero. Just dial (601) 437-5161 and let the real men deal with 'em.

As for the screw-ups at the Detention Center, maybe it's time for some new blood. These boys made you look like clowns.

Update: Tyrekennel Collins, the cousin killer, was apprehended on Oct. 17, 2023, but his partner in crime is still at large, last seen limping toward the horizon.
