A community is in mourning after a badass K-9 officer, Archer, kicked the bucket last Friday. He died a hero, serving the Madison County Sheriff's Office by chasing down a scumbag criminal in the scorching Florida heat.
Archer, a good boy if there ever was one, worked his furry butt off to protect the citizens of Madison County. His tireless efforts came at a cost, as he suffered a heat stroke in the line of duty. Despite the best efforts of medical staff at the University of Florida Small Animal Hospital, Archer succumbed to the heat.

“Archer gave his all to ensure that there was no criminal roaming free in our community. He honorably fulfilled his duty."
Madison County Sheriff, David Harper, wasn't holding back when he called out some snowflake keyboard warriors for their disrespectful comments about Archer's handler.
“I am aggravated...I just had to block a few people...making hurtful and uneducated comments directed at my handler and his family. [They are] keyboard warriors who hide behind their profiles."
Sheriff Harper, a true patriot, set the record straight, saying the pursuit was necessary to protect the community from the criminal, who was mere yards from someone's home. He didn't mince words when he called out the haters:
“Yes, it is hot...But, heat does not deter CRIMINALS and CRIME. I will pray that your law enforcement officers would run through the gates of hell, led by a loyal and fierce canine..."
Harper's post echoed an earlier tribute to Archer by the Putnam County Sheriff's Office, who recognized the canine's integral role in their work.
Rest in peace, Archer. You were a true patriot and an American hero.
